NZ Bio Forestry is pleased to share that our latest thought leadership article, "Beyond Logs: How Forests Can Replace Fossil Fuels," has been published in The Journal, the official publication of the New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management Inc. (NZIPIM). Read by rural professionals across New Zealand, The Journal provides a respected forum for discussing the future of our primary industries.
In the article, CEO Wayne Mulligan explores how New Zealand's forests can move beyond traditional timber production to become a source of renewable energy, advanced materials and bioproducts—helping shape a more productive, resilient and sustainable forestry sector.

NZ Bio Forestry has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Energy Estate and Kākāriki Renewables, bringing together expertise in renewable energy, infrastructure, and bio-industrial technology to explore revitalising New Zealand's forestry regions.
Building on the recently announced partnership with Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Manawa, this latest collaboration represents another significant step towards creating integrated bio-industrial precincts that combine clean energy, advanced manufacturing and forestry resources to regenerate regional economies.

NZ Bio Forestry and Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Manawa have signed a Heads of Agreement to explore the development of Kaingaroa Village as one of New Zealand's first integrated bioeconomy industrial centres.
The proposed partnership will investigate new opportunities to create higher-value products from New Zealand's forestry resources while supporting regional economic development, innovation and advanced manufacturing. NZ Bio Forestry has entered into a Heads of Agreement with Pegasus Capital Advisors, L.P. — the first North American private equity firm accredited by the Green Climate Fund.
It will allow NZ Bio Forestry to accelerate the global transition away from fossil fuels by advancing biochemicals, bioplastics, biofuels, and biomaterials as scalable, renewable alternatives.
